For example, they can save money and get more teachers. I think wind turbine is important for us to protect environment. But in Japan it's not enough windy, so it's difficult to increase wind turbine...

My review of " Peruvian WEAVERS "

This story is written about traditions in Peru. For people of Chinchero in Peru it's very important to weave. They cut wool from sheep with a knife in the Andes. After that, they weave each other by using traditional methods. But Nilda was disappointed that young people don't learn how to weave. So many women started jobs of weaving. Weaving is not only job but also the way to get money. Recently it seems that people often forget our traditions. I think we should be interested in them. 

My review of " Columbus and the New World "

This book is written about Christopher Columbus. He is famous for a sailor. When he was young, he have wanted to study geography. I was surprised that only few people knew that the earth is round at that time. He started sail, but in the end he couldn't find a new route. I think he is a great sailor. Thanks for his challenges and voyages, we can know about our world and the earth today.

Antina and Todd talk about saving money. Antina wastes money on movie rentals. She often rentals five movies a week because she loves watching movie. Todd decided that he would have a movie for two week. I often use my money in order to buy new clothes, but these days I try to save money. I want to get a driver's license some day!

Mark and Todd talk about DVD and Cinema. Mark chooses DVD because he can sit on his nice relaxing sofa. But Todd chooses cinema because cinema has a big screen and high quality sound. I like both of them. When I watch DVD, I can play and stop many times, but at the cinema only once. At the cinema I can watch earlier than DVD and eat popcorn. If I want to watch movie early, I often watch at the cinema first. So cinema is also useful.

My review of " The Art of Making Silk "

The Antico Setificio Fiorentino is the Antico Setificio Factory uses ancient machines tomake handwoven fabrics.  Mechanical looms became old for many people, but at this factory weavers treat them as new.  Stefano Benelli, craftsmen at this factory, is a weaver.  Weavers have to do same things in succession.  In spite of the work is repetitive, he says that it's not stressful!  I was surprised and looked up to him because maybe I can't say as his answer, and I can't do such a hard work.

My review of " The LOVE of a KING "

Prince Edward was born in 1894 and he spent lonely in Buckingham Palace when he was young. So he couldn't feel love from his parents. Mr Hansell was Edward's teacher but he was very angry because Edward was impolite.When he was 16 years old, he had to wear skirt because he would be King. One day he heard that Mrs Simpson was assaulted from her husband but she loved him.  In 1936 the King was dead, so Edward became the King. At last he could marry Mrs Simpson. Edward said that she was everything to him and LONG LIVE LOVE! I felt as if something is pressing on my chest. I think that his life changed  a wonderful life, thanks to Mrs Simpson. This story was so great.

The movie " Peter Pan2 "

The beginning is in London in World WarⅡ. Main heroine is Jane, is girl and she's daugther of Wendy who is last heroine. Captain Hook made a mistake that Jane was mistaken for her mother Wendy. Then Hook took Jane away with him. She met Peter Pan and his many friends, but she was angry because they made fun of her. Hook attacked Peter Pan, and Peter Pan was in a pinch. Jane cooperate with Peter Pan's friends and they succeed in the attempt. Jane made up with themAt last, Jane came home in real world. I shed tears for the first time. This is very fantastic and warm!

The movie " Toy Story "

I like " Toy Story " series very much!
The characters are almost toys. Woody is a cow boy. He is usually treated as important toy by Andy, is boy. But Buzz Lightyear, is new popular toy, comes Andy's house. Then Andy play with only BuzzLightyear, and Woody hates him because he robbed Woody of Andy. It happened many accidents, gradually Woody got along with him. At last, Andy loves both of them! I was so impressed with this movie for the first time. This is one of the favorite movies!

Text book DVD

Unit1  Olive oil was used by many people in ancient time, of course now. It was indispensable for Mediterranean people. We associate that Puerto Pican food is very spicy and it's famous its very hot chili pepper. Today it's used for many kind of dishes all over the world. I don't like hot chili pepper like wasabi and red pepper.

Unit2  Only male humpbacks sing, it's unknown reasons. It's not correct that male humpbacks sing to attract females. I want to see them close up!! There are many kind of dogs. They play an active role. For example, work at airports, heip sick people ata hospital and so on. Many humans get along with dogs. They are so wise!

Unit3  No one knows thereason for Tutankhamun's death. Even if we use the latest technology, we can't find the answers. I often watch  Tutankhamun's mistery on TV. And we can't find the reason Iceman was killed. He may was killed by someone. I want to know both misteries.

Unit4  Grand Central Terminal is in the impotant place of Manhattan. There are many people about 700,000 a day. I was very surprised and it's incredibility for me. Thanks to kind people, there keep protecting. Mumbai also good place, is the vibrant city and a natural first stop for visitors. Many passengers visit there now.

Unit5  Hurricane Katrina was oneof the costliest natural disasters. Many houses went to ruin, but residents rebuild them because they love their own town. There is process of storm formation. Warm, humid air moves upward first. These stories made me fearful. We have to prepare in case so kind of disasters.

Unit6  Fishing with liquid cyanide, is a very dangerous material. I want coral polyps to live strong. So we should help them to continue to survive. I think that sharks eat humans, but to tell the truth they don't eat us. I was surprised that they have 3,000teeth in several rows. I knew that real sharks, but I am still scared...

I heard Granada in Spain for the first time. I want to go abroad because I'm interested in historic spots!

My short review of " MR.BEAN'S HOLIDAY "

Mr Bean went to France from London. He wanted to go to a beach. He meet Stepan at the station, and they looked for Stepan's father. Thanks to Sabine, is French actress, they arrived at cinema. then Mr Bean changed movie to his pictures that he took. Many audience were pleased. At last he arrived at beach, and he spent a nice holiday. This story made me excited! There is DVD of this story, so I want to watch it!

Summer challenges

1. lose 5kg
2. have part-time job 4 times a week
3. learn how to cook 10 dishes

First, I lost only 2kg, so I failed this challenge... I ate ice cream at night. I couldn't put up with the heat. Too bad! I keep trying my weigh and I want to lose more.

Second, I got a part-time job in cram school, is called juku. In August I worked hard 5 or 6 times a week. But in September 3 times only one week becaus students  must go to school from the beginning of September!  I failed this challenge...

Third, I achieved this challenge! I live with my family now and I seldom cooked by myself. I learned from my mother and COOKPAD. In this summer I cooked new dishes. For example, omlet rice, nikujaga, tempura,croquette, spaghetti salad, creamy stew, stir-fried vegetables, apple pie, baked cheese cake, strawberry shortcake and so on! They were very delicious!

My dreams

1.  I want to visit world heritages all over the world. I heard that we can live some world heritages from TV. It made me so excited!

2.  I want to speak Italian very well because I like Italy so much. I want to go to Italy, so I should be a master of Italian.

3.  I want to go abroad with my family. I have been to somewhere in Japan, but I have never been to Europe, Australia, Asia, and so on.

4.  I want to see " Mona Lisa " in the Louvre. Many people all over the world visit there every day. I saw " Mona Lisa " only TV, magazines. But I want to see it actually.

5.  I want to have so many cats!!! I like cat because it's so cute!! But I can't have a pet now because I live in an apartment. I must live other house, first.

Akane goes to bed quite early but she hates waking up really early. She doesn't fall asleep when she work but she used to fall asleep in front of computer. And she went to watch the symphony orchestra because it was very beautiful music. I also fall asleep wherever, particular when I'm tired. It's so good for me to take bus and train, and I feel quite comfortable in them.

Venice is Italy's most famous cities. Marion and her friends went there. It was so cold because in middle of February. A lot of fun for them were carnival. They met up in huge piazza, Piazza San Marco. A gondola is very long, kind of boat in Venice. She experienced quite funny things. I have never seen and stepped into gondola. I would like to go to Italy because Italy is one of the best countries I want to go.

Lesie has two hobbies. First, it's going to the gym. She likes swimming and auqa-aerobics. My mother sad that swimming is good to improve our figures. I want to try them. Second, it's baking pies. My review of " Romeo and Juliet "

This is one of the most famous love stories, more than hundred years after it was written by William Shakespeare. It's set in Verona in the north of Italy. Romeo Montague is requited love with Rosaline. But at Capulet's party, Romeo falls in love with Juliet Capulet, she also. At the end, Juliet died by using medicine temporary. Then Romeo kills himself by his knife, Juliet wakes up and she also kills herself by his knife. For the first time, I read the play of " Romeo and Juliet ". I want to see the play actually. I think that this story is an immortal work.

My review of " Weddings "

It is said that the first wedding held in Egypt. In Japan, many women wear dress from America. In Brazil, women eat cakes from France. February 29, Leep Day is a special day. many couples are made by proposal each other. One man gave his girlfriend a diamond ring when their wedding. It is the first diamond ring, in Austria in 1477. We get into the habit of giving a ring from groom to bride. Of course Japanese kimono is beatiful, but I prefer wedding dress to kimono. I would like to wear white wedding dress in my wedding.

My review of " Shark ALLEY "

This book is written about shark's alley, It is one of rhe few places where great white sharks roam in South Africa. Many tourists visit there in order to see great white sharks, and they can see them at close range by taking cage diving. Two researchers want to investigate shark in detail. Brady of them got in the cage, then a shark was coming to him and attack. He quickly got out of the sea. I'm scared of the shark because it is highly dangerous for us. But only one, it is okay to try cage diving.

My review of " Barcelona "

Barcelona is in Catalonia,Spain. It has many people on the street, particularly on the Ramblas.  They are very fun, so visitors enjoy like a party. Some of them are musician, artisit, performer and so on. Ramblas's music and theatre came from Angentina, from Spain, all over the world. It is said that Ramblas is vibrant city which is very active and energetic. This book greatly excited me. I want to visit Barcelona!

My review of " A Biker's Ghost "

This book is writen about moterbikers. Dr Wawkin and Liz, his girlfriend, crashed in the traffic accident when they rode their motorbike.  He injured his legs and Liz was dead. He blamed himself for her death. Then she appeared in front of him as a ghost! She always told him not to blame himself.  One day a black dog ran into the road and strangely it ran to Liz. There is a red car coming to the dog stopped. He caught it and he took care of it because  It had no home, so . He practiced to walk more smoothly.     So he came to think that he want to be a biker again.
At first I was surprised that Liz became the ghost. But I believe her always talking to him made him encourage. This book was a liitle fantasy and a warm story.

My review of " The Lost City of Machu Picchu "

I read this book about Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu has an another name,  Lost City of the Incas. A tour guide, Julio think it make us a great impression, and tourists may be given energy from it.  It has a long histry, more than 500 years old. An hotel owner hope that more tourists go there because he claims it's very wonderful space called " Lost City ".
I have wanted to visit many world heritages for a long time. Particular, Machu Picchu is one of the most interesting  sightseeing spot, so I am going to visit there someday.

My review of " New York "

I read the book about New York.
According to this book, in New York some taxi drivers have no lisense. Therefore we may cost expensive. In the case, it is very dangerous! And in the movie " Spiderman ", the Queensboro Bridge in New York was used. Many tourists buy can T-shirts that say " I Love New York " , and New Yorkers are very proud of their city.
I heve not been to New York, so I want to go there!

Because of Global Warming, there faces a very serious crisis. The more high tides rise, the more decrease lands people can live in. She thinks government should think it over once more about Kyoto Protocol, and people must educate about these problems.

Roe's hobby is especially windsurfing.
He has been windsurfing for about 7 years.Since he was 26 years old. And he first began it in Kamakura.He lives in a place takes an hour from sea, so he often go there.But recently sea is polluted by people, and all the oil in the water. If you windsurf in the summer, you will feel bad because oil is disgusting!
I want to try windsurfing, but I am scared of it.

My review of "Farly the Red Panda "

 Farly has a big confident and tried very hard to save his life.He might be die, but he got well because of nice try nersery had.
The panda must not relate to human deeply, so he got along with Bnsee.He was on friendly terms with Bansee,and they made friends each other.
Farly was a small body ,but he has a big strength.This book gave me a happy feeling.I was so impressed.

My review of " Chocolate "

  It's a book about chocolate.
As you know, chocolate has more than 300 different flavours in it.
Switzerland is the country have people eat the most chocolate in the world.
1,500 years ago, the Maya people made chocolate from cacao beans, for the first time.

  To my surprise, people had chocolate as a drink.
But only rich families could have it because it was very expensive.

  In this book, there are many pictures.
For example, Sachertorte, A chocolate eclair, Churros and recipe for American cookies.
I want to eat chocolate soon!

  It took a few days, to read this book, and this book have many words.
But this book fit me perfectly.

My review of " Dangerous DINING "

   Fugu is said that it is very dangerous because of poison it have.
 It is true, but if we have licence, we can eat fugu safely .


   I am surprised that 70 percent of poisonings happen in homes.
Special machine called respirator can save our breathes.
I am relieved to hear that.


 Tom and Aki ate fugu without fear.
I respect them for their courage.


  I have not eaten fugu, so I want to try to eat it!

My review of " The Memory Man "

  I also think that a good memory comes from heredity like Dr.Malgaroli .  
But actually it comes from not only heredity but also environment.
The truth surprised me.


  Memory is closely related to our brain in many ways.
For example, hippocampus,nerves and code.
Gianni Golfera said, we organize and do hard work,and forgetful people even can improve good memory.
If what he said is true, I want to take lessons by him! 


  Human ability is still unknown. 
If we understand about it more clear than now, people have a good memory increase more and more!
