Cheryl has lived in Hong Kong, there most people usually don't touch each other. It is a common sense in Asia. When she lived in America, she often hug people, it is indeed American. In Guam people kiss on the cheek to with their friends and family. Most Japanese are shy, and I am shy too. Mabe I would be surprised if someone hug me suddenly.  I think that environment affects our characters when we are child. And native cultures also changes them. Countries have theirs own culutures, so it is interesting to find the differences between contries.

Todd helped to make "elllo site". To do it, he started to do somewhere and interviewed a lot of people around the world. He could made a lot of friends. When he started to make it, he thought that quantity is more important than quality. I respect him because he is so active, I want to follow his example. "Elllo" has many topics of different things. I forgot to do it many times... Listening to elllo is a good way for me to improve my listening skill in English. But it is too difficult and fast to listen exactly English without sentense in English. I decide to listening elllo!!

In England, When Doron was junior school student, people used to have a little Valentine's post box in his classroom, and they write messages to their classmates. After then, they put messages in the box and teachers delivered them. I knew that people give only a letter not candy, chocolate and presents in England. I was so surprised! In Japan girls cook a chocolate, truffle, cookies and muffin and so on. On Valentine's Day girls give boys and their friends. I also have cooked Valentine's sweets every year. Of course in this year I am going to cook. I want to try a new sweet recipe!

It is important to contribute money to charity, but there are some problems. It is we can't know if people really get charity money. Do you give money if you see childre on the street? What do you do if children ask for money? I may give money... Paul says that parents should take care about their children. Is it only a volunteer problem? I don't think so. It is difficult to separate with boundary between right and wrong.

Anja's family have the special space in her house just for the Christmas tree only Christmas time. I was surprised! My family decorate a small Christmas tree next to TV at Christmas time. Fred and Anja plan to decorate Christmas tree together. Fred has a big and tall tree, it is fifteen foot.  It looks so fun! I think it a good idea to decorate trees with my friends!! I want to try it in this year!

My review of " Help! "

Frank is a writer, but he hasn't worked for a few time. One day in the morning Teresa was very angry with him. He got a letter from Mel who is a Hollywood Producer. Mel is a big fan of Frank, so he gave Frank a new computer, television and car. Frank worked hard, but one day he was angry with the chatting computer, and he threw what Mel gave him all. He noticed the importance of her wife, Teresa. This story is very fantastic, and unbelievable. The new computer, television and car talked Frank!!  It must be a dream for Frank. This story is so interesting, and I was so excited!!

My winter vacation

I went to Osaka with my mother. There is my relative family. I was looking forward to meeting them! I stayed there for two days. There is a little girl, and I call her mokochan. She is so cute!! She is going to Tokyo Disney Land on her next birthday.  I went to HEP. I was very happy to window shop and to buy many clothes. I am going to Osaka in spring vacation again. So I want to go Hankyu department store and IKEYA next time!!

Killer Bees!

Roubik loves bees very much. So he visited Panama, Tulum and Mexico. I'm very surprised at it!! I'm scared bees because they may kill us. But bees help plants and animals to live. I know that bees pollinate plants. Pubik is so diligent, and he have researched about bees in detail for over 30 years, it's unbelievable! I knew real killer bees although I heven't had opportunity to know them. To reading this book was good time for me to get new knowledge.  But I'm still scared bees...

My review of " Wind POWER "

This story is written about a wind turbine. It's good system for environment and human because it takes a few energy and it's not high cost. In school district, it help many students do something. For example, they can save money and get more teachers. I think wind turbine is important for us to protect environment. But in Japan it's not enough windy, so it's difficult to increase wind turbine...

My review of " Peruvian WEAVERS "

This story is written about traditions in Peru. For people of Chinchero in Peru it's very important to weave. They cut wool from sheep with a knife in the Andes. After that, they weave each other by using traditional methods. But Nilda was disappointed that young people don't learn how to weave. So many women started jobs of weaving. Weaving is not only job but also the way to get money. Recently it seems that people often forget our traditions. I think we should be interested in them. 

My review of " Columbus and the New World "

This book is written about Christopher Columbus. He is famous for a sailor. When he was young, he have wanted to study geography. I was surprised that only few people knew that the earth is round at that time. He started sail, but in the end he couldn't find a new route. I think he is a great sailor. Thanks for his challenges and voyages, we can know about our world and the earth today.

Antina and Todd talk about saving money. Antina wastes money on movie rentals. She often rentals five movies a week because she loves watching movie. Todd decided that he would have a movie for two week. I often use my money in order to buy new clothes, but these days I try to save money. I want to get a driver's license some day!

Mark and Todd talk about DVD and Cinema. Mark chooses DVD because he can sit on his nice relaxing sofa. But Todd chooses cinema because cinema has a big screen and high quality sound. I like both of them. When I watch DVD, I can play and stop many times, but at the cinema only once. At the cinema I can watch earlier than DVD and eat popcorn. If I want to watch movie early, I often watch at the cinema first. So cinema is also useful.

My review of " The Art of Making Silk "

The Antico Setificio Fiorentino is the Antico Setificio Factory uses ancient machines tomake handwoven fabrics.  Mechanical looms became old for many people, but at this factory weavers treat them as new.  Stefano Benelli, craftsmen at this factory, is a weaver.  Weavers have to do same things in succession.  In spite of the work is repetitive, he says that it's not stressful!  I was surprised and looked up to him because maybe I can't say as his answer, and I can't do such a hard work.

My review of " The LOVE of a KING "

Prince Edward was born in 1894 and he spent lonely in Buckingham Palace when he was young. So he couldn't feel love from his parents. Mr Hansell was Edward's teacher but he was very angry because Edward was impolite.When he was 16 years old, he had to wear skirt because he would be King. One day he heard that Mrs Simpson was assaulted from her husband but she loved him.  In 1936 the King was dead, so Edward became the King. At last he could marry Mrs Simpson. Edward said that she was everything to him and LONG LIVE LOVE! I felt as if something is pressing on my chest. I think that his life changed  a wonderful life, thanks to Mrs Simpson. This story was so great.

The movie " Peter Pan2 "

The beginning is in London in World WarⅡ. Main heroine is Jane, is girl and she's daugther of Wendy who is last heroine. Captain Hook made a mistake that Jane was mistaken for her mother Wendy. Then Hook took Jane away with him. She met Peter Pan and his many friends, but she was angry because they made fun of her. Hook attacked Peter Pan, and Peter Pan was in a pinch. Jane cooperate with Peter Pan's friends and they succeed in the attempt. Jane made up with themAt last, Jane came home in real world. I shed tears for the first time. This is very fantastic and warm!

The movie " Toy Story "

I like " Toy Story " series very much!
The characters are almost toys. Woody is a cow boy. He is usually treated as important toy by Andy, is boy. But Buzz Lightyear, is new popular toy, comes Andy's house. Then Andy play with only BuzzLightyear, and Woody hates him because he robbed Woody of Andy. It happened many accidents, gradually Woody got along with him. At last, Andy loves both of them! I was so impressed with this movie for the first time. This is one of the favorite movies!
